Our Code of Business Ethics applies to all KHB employees, which includes directors, managers and all employees, regardless of their work.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, we expect consul\u00adtants, repre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtives and service providers to comply with the Code of Business Ethics when acting on behalf of KHB.<\/p>\n

In the coope\u00adration with our business partners, we emphasize the requi\u00adre\u00adments of the Code of Business Ethics and promote the corre\u00adsponding value framework on a global scale.<\/p>\n

If we find that there are critical non-conforming aspects, we seek to initiate a dialogue and identify solutions.<\/p>\n

If an intensive exami\u00adnation does not yield reliable results are not achieved, we elect to refrain from pursuing the respective relati\u00adonships any further.<\/p>\n

We are tasked with conveying to these potential new partners that it is worth seeking approval in a joint effort, because we under\u00adstand our suppliers as trust\u00adworthy long-term partners.<\/p>\n

Secure and sustainable quality and perfor\u00admance at all levels and at all times is the prere\u00adquisite for satis\u00adfactory and high-perfor\u00admance relati\u00adonships over the long term.<\/p>\n

And what is one of the crucial elements in gaining approval?
\nCompliance with the standards of relevant, certified quality assurance systems, specific quality standards, conformity with environ\u00admental regula\u00adtions, internal process and requi\u00adrement defini\u00adtions, analyses, expert reports, flow charts and frequently many more\u2026.<\/p>\n

In this way, we ensure that the requi\u00adre\u00adments, the appli\u00adcable standards and legis\u00adlative framework condi\u00adtions for goods, packaging, security, desti\u00adnation and perfor\u00admance are met and good quality is achieved!<\/p>\n

Products that do not meet the specified requi\u00adre\u00adments profile are not eligible for approval from us and therefore cannot be supplied by us.<\/p>\n

And because we are aware of the fact that every\u00adthing is constantly evolving and that we are not only keeping up with time, but also conti\u00adnuously improve ourselves, we have our perfor\u00admance develo\u00adpment and the effec\u00adti\u00adveness of our systems and processes subjected to independent regular internal and external audits.<\/p>\n

The existing national and inter\u00adna\u00adtional, legal, but also transport- and storage-specific requi\u00adre\u00adments for the products we trade in, their labelling, highly profes\u00adsional supple\u00admentary customer requi\u00adre\u00adments, offer clear and strict speci\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adtions that create reliability.<\/p>\n

We successfully meet these requi\u00adre\u00adments on the basis of our conviction and expertise!<\/p>\n

One thing is self-evident: We commission trans\u00adports in such a way that they deliver the best possible combi\u00adnation of adherence to deadlines and low emissions.<\/p>\n

Our concern for a protected environment becomes even more relevant by including the relevant preli\u00adminary products, production facilities and production condi\u00adtions in the overall view.<\/p>\n

We comply with all appli\u00adcable inter\u00adna\u00adtional trade controls, including economic sanctions and export controls, and review all business oppor\u00adtu\u00adnities to ensure compliance.<\/p>\n

Because inter\u00adna\u00adtional trade controls may change over time, it is our respon\u00adsi\u00adbility to be aware of the current policies and ensure compliance with them.<\/p>\n

In this context, we ensure that the specialist depart\u00adments master, observe and maintain\/develop the existing level of training, documen\u00adtation, subject-specific and systemic knowledge.<\/p>\n

This is the respon\u00adsi\u00adbility of the relevant organi\u00adsa\u00adtional units (if necessary with further technical\/internal\/external resource requi\u00adre\u00adments on the part of the specialist segments), as they are the specia\u00adlists of processes and therefore of requirements.<\/p>\n

We strictly and without compromise oppose the purchasing and use of counterfeit parts, as well infrin\u00adge\u00adments of intellectual property (including patents etc.) and will immediately report any infrin\u00adge\u00adments detected by us.<\/p>\n

Tough and fair in competition<\/strong><\/p>\n

We do not enter into agree\u00adments with compe\u00adtitors on the prices, condi\u00adtions attached to our goods and services, or the location of our current and future services.<\/p>\n

Similarly, we do not parti\u00adcipate in any way in practices that appear, even in the slightest, to represent conduct that amounts to unfair compe\u00adtition \/ cartels.<\/p>\n

If other market parti\u00adci\u00adpants approach us with prohi\u00adbited requests, we will take a crystal-clear stance as soon as possible and insist that we do not wish to be supplied with relevant infor\u00admation and are unwilling to supply the same.<\/p>\n

We expressly object and will immediately terminate (including in cases of doubt) the relati\u00adonship with the party exhibiting objec\u00adtionable conduct and contact the superiors straight away.<\/p>\n

All employees of KHB are obliged to behave in this way, no exemp\u00adtions made!<\/p>\n

We fully rely on our own expertise in developing our business.<\/p>\n

Anti-Money Laundering \/ Bribery \/ Corruption<\/strong><\/p>\n

We, the employees of KHB, do not engage in money laundering or terrorist financing, nor do we pay or accept any bribes (whether financial, non-financial or immaterial). All forms of active or passive corruption are banned at KHB.<\/p>\n

It is self-evident that we do not support any other parties \/ third parties in these activities!<\/p>\n

We actively and promptly pass on any detected warning indicators for inves\u00adti\u00adgation and, where necessary, report any suspi\u00adcious activity to official authorities.<\/p>\n

KHB condemns and does not tolerate disre\u00adspectful behaviour or harassment of any kind.<\/p>\n

The question whether the disre\u00adspectful conduct or harassment was inten\u00adtional is not always the autho\u00adri\u00adtative point.<\/p>\n

Harassment based on personal charac\u00adte\u00adristics - known as protected charac\u00adte\u00adristics - is illegal in many jurisdictions.<\/p>\n

Even disre\u00adspectful behaviour is illegal or punis\u00adhable in many jurisdictions.<\/p>\n

The ethical values of KHB go far beyond the legal requirements.<\/p>\n

At KHB, we aim for a working environment that is free from disre\u00adspectful behaviour or harassment, regardless of whether the behaviour is sanctioned by law or not.<\/p>\n

What matters is how the behaviour is understood by the affected person.<\/p>\n

Disre\u00adspectful behaviour and harassment takes many forms and are met with zero tolerance at KHB.<\/p>\n

Every instance is reported immediately!<\/p>\n

Contri\u00adbuting our opinion \/ insights<\/strong><\/p>\n

We share our opinion \u2013 we get ourselves actively involved!<\/p>\n

At KHB, we value dialogue, exchange and knowledge \u2013 in personal conver\u00adsa\u00adtions, discus\u00adsions on specialist level and also across all organi\u00adsa\u00adtional levels!<\/p>\n

Constructive, open friction is crucial for avoiding a standstill, and for reaching our common goals of \u201cbeing the best we can, always\u201d.<\/p>\n

A crucial element is to under\u00adstand the voices, opinions and insights from all the company\u2019s role models \u2013 because everyone has an important role to play!<\/p>\n

Only in this way can we see what we should \u201ctackle\u201d and thereby lift our game even further.<\/p>\n

We take advantage of our company\u2019s flat hierar\u00adchies that allow contact persons to directly familiarise themselves with requests.<\/p>\n

We are committed to taking each other seriously, we value the opinions of our counterpart, and we count on dialogue because we know that it will lead us to the goal!<\/p>\n

Well, there might be a few excep\u00adtions, i.e. things that are suppo\u00adsedly more difficult to communicate.<\/p>\n

In such cases we can also address serious or difficult concerns and infor\u00admation at any time, without fear of retaliation \u2013 including anony\u00admously via the whist\u00adle\u00adb\u00adlower box.<\/p>\n

If reports are made anony\u00admously, it is important to ensure that the issue is made as clear as possible, because follow up questions cannot be asked in the case of an anonymous report.
\nWe expressly emphasise: KHB endorses a policy of zero tolerance for retaliation against anyone who raises their concerns in good faith.<\/p>\n

Retaliation means any kind of unfair treatment, whether subtle or obvious.<\/p>\n

Equal oppor\u00adtu\u00adnities \/ equality \/ no discrimination<\/strong><\/p>\n

As an inter\u00adna\u00adtional company, we enjoy working together internally and externally with people from different regions \/ cultures of the world, and we do so with great pleasure and success.<\/p>\n

We gratefully perceive this as a stimu\u00adlating personal, multi-faceted and inter\u00adcul\u00adtural gain!<\/p>\n

We live every day in such a way that we value and complement each other humanly and profes\u00adsio\u00adnally \u2013 as different perso\u00adna\u00adlities, with different backgrounds, desires, prefe\u00adrences and ways of life!<\/p>\n

As a result, we strongly oppose any discri\u00admi\u00adnation on the basis of, for example , origin, religion, religious affiliation, skin colour, gender, pregnancy, maternity protection, civil status, age, physical or mental disability, ancestry, hereditary infor\u00admation, national or ethnic origin, natio\u00adnality, sexual orien\u00adtation, gender identity or expression of sexuality, political conviction, trade union membership or any other status protected under appli\u00adcable local law, regardless of the reason!<\/p>\n

Only objec\u00adtively assessed perfor\u00admance counts for u<\/strong>s<\/p>\n

We are a company in the social market economy and therefore we evaluate employees at KHB solely on the basis of their demons\u00adtrable contri\u00adbu\u00adtions and skills with respect to them fulfilling the respective business requirements.<\/p>\n

This applies without exception to all decisions, regardless of whether they concern remune\u00adration, recruitment, further training, promotion or freedom of decision, or aspects not mentioned here.<\/p>\n

Political activities<\/strong><\/p>\n

We clearly distin\u00adguish between our possibly existing private interests \/ invol\u00advement in politics and KHB\u2019s position on the subject.<\/p>\n

We are convinced that politics and systems only work with and through people who are free to contribute and engage, who struggle with each other in respectful disagreement for the best solution and then achieve it.<\/p>\n

For KHB employees who have a corre\u00adsponding political invol\u00advement in private, it is important to ensure (whether in personal dialogue, via the media, in writing or by other means) that it is made clear that their personal-private, political views and opinions are theirs only and do not represent KHB.<\/p>\n

As a company supported by many different people and their diversity, we believe that the right thing to do is for the company to refrain from political activity and therefore steer clear entirely from monetary support for political parties or their representatives.<\/p>\n

Individual-personal conflicts of interest<\/strong><\/p>\n

This concerns any situation in which personal interests (which may well be interests of third parties) make it difficult to act in the best interests of KHB.<\/p>\n

It may also be that these interests influence personal objec\u00adtivity and in turn affect the loyalty to KHB.<\/p>\n

Such a conflict of interest is usually easy to resolve (if necessary by official resolution\/approval) if it is disclosed in a timely and pro-active manner.<\/p>\n

Because we under\u00adstand that there will always be profes\u00adsional-private overlaps \u2013 such is life \u2013 openness is and remains the building block for trust!<\/p>\n
