KHB is committed to ethical, socially respon\u00adsible, ecolo\u00adgical and economic corporate governance.<\/p>\n

Our commercial activities, raw materials \/ products and services are part of a compre\u00adhensive supply chain that extends from the manufac\u00adturer to the place of use and beyond.
\nThis is why it is necessary to take a holistic view of the supply chains and make conti\u00adnuous efforts to optimize the sustaina\u00adbility aspect.<\/p>\n

We expect our suppliers do follow suit in the best interest of a trusting and sustainable cooperation.<\/p>\n

To facilitate these objec\u00adtives, we have developed the Supplier Code of Conduct, which provides suppliers with specific orien\u00adtation and defines the basic requi\u00adre\u00adments to be met for a successful coope\u00adration between the supplier and KHB.<\/p>\n

This Supplier Code of Conduct has been adapted and supple\u00admented in its requi\u00adre\u00adments to the United Nations Global Compact.   • This agreement forms the foundation of the coope\u00adration with KHB.<\/li>\n
  • The supplier under\u00adtakes to duly exercise its social respon\u00adsi\u00adbility in all its business activities.<\/li>\n
  • The supplier agrees to assure compliance of all its business activities and decisions with appli\u00adcable laws, regula\u00adtions, minimum indus\u00adtrial standards, ILO conven\u00adtions, UN conven\u00adtions, animal welfare, as well as other relevant provi\u00adsions of the countries in which it operates.<\/li>\n
  • In cases where local\/national regula\u00adtions and\/or laws are more stringent than this Supplier Code of Conduct, we expect the supplier to comply with the respective laws and regulations.<\/li>\n
  • Contracts are adhered to and business partners must be treated fairly.<\/li>\n
  • These principles apply to the supplier\u2019s activities and its own supply chains.
    \nThe supplier will therefore enter into appro\u00adpriate contractual agree\u00adments with its own suppliers to ensure compliance with the rules and standards set forth in this Supplier Code of Conduct.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

     <\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Human rights:<\/strong> The supplier will respect and support compliance with inter\u00adna\u00adtio\u00adnally recognized human rights as set forth in the United Nations Universal Decla\u00adration of Human Rights in its dealings with stake\u00adholders (e.g. commu\u00adnities, employees, suppliers, customers)<\/li>\n
    2. Health protection:<\/strong> The supplier supports a conti\u00adnuous develo\u00adpment process to improve the working environment. The core building blocks, within the framework of the national provi\u00adsions which must be in place for this purpose, are health protection at the workplace, adequate occupa\u00adtional safety facilities and preventive measures against health hazards and accidents.<\/li>\n
    3. No child labour: <\/strong>The entire supply chain must ensure that no child labour takes place. Child labour is prohi\u00adbited! Child labour is defined in the ILO conven\u00adtions, the United Nations conven\u00adtions, and national laws. The most stringent of all the standards mentioned must be followed. Any form of explo\u00aditation of children is prohibited.<\/li>\n
    4. Exclusion of forced labour\/coercion:<\/strong> Forced labour and\/or slave labour or similar work may not be initiated or utilised by the Supplier.<\/li>\n
    5. Respect for others: <\/strong>The supplier has a diverse, inclusive working environment and creates an environment where fairness prevails and appro\u00adpriate wagesare paid. If the respective legal minimum wage does not cover the cost of living, or if no additional free disposable income is available, the supplier is obliged to pay its employees an appro\u00adpriate remune\u00adration to meet these needs.<\/li>\n
    6. Discri\u00admi\u00adnation:<\/strong> The Supplier shall ensure that, within the framework of the appli\u00adcable laws and regula\u00adtions, no discri\u00admi\u00adnation and\/or disad\u00advantage is caused by, for example , origin, religion, spiritual denomi\u00adnation, skin colour, gender, civil status, age, physical or mental\u00addi\u00adsa\u00adbility, ancestry, hereditary infor\u00admation, national or ethni\u00adco\u00adrigin, natio\u00adnality, sexual orien\u00adtation, gender identity, political conviction or trade union membership.<\/li>\n
    7. Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining:<\/strong> The Supplier shall respect its employees\u2019 right of association as provided for in the appli\u00adcable regula\u00adtions, rights and laws.<\/li>\n
    8. Complaint management:<\/strong> The supplier maintains a system that enables stake\u00adholders (e.g. commu\u00adnities, employees, suppliers, customers) to address relevant concerns. This can also be done anony\u00admously (whist\u00adle\u00adb\u00adlower concept)<\/li>\n
    9. Bribery \/ Corruption \/ Undue advan\u00adtages \/ Personal conflicts of interest: <\/strong>The supplier will comply with appli\u00adcable laws and regula\u00adtions relating to fair compe\u00adtition, antitrust and corruption laws. The supplier warrants that it will not engage in any money laundering or terrorist financing activities and that it will not pay or accept any bribes. The supplier will also not accept any antitrust viola\u00adtions and shall not support any third party in such activities. The supplier will ensure that personal interests and relati\u00adonships do not come into conflict with each other.<\/li>\n
    10. Protection of the environment \/ sustaina\u00adbility: <\/strong>The supplier is committed to environ\u00admental protection and the conti\u00adnuous optimization of a sustainable develo\u00adpment for present and future genera\u00adtions. The supplier performs syste\u00admatic, documented maintenance, testing and measu\u00adrement of its equipment and has a formal environ\u00admental strategy that is commu\u00adni\u00adcated to the employees. The supplier will strictly comply with and strive to exceed appli\u00adcable and relevant regula\u00adtions, standards and environ\u00admental laws. The supplier supports and promotes sustainable production. This includes resource chains, air quality, energy efficiency, renewable energies, waste prevention, water quality and waste water prevention, as well as the management of raw materials and packaging.<\/li>\n
    11. Sourcing of Materials from Areas of Conflict: <\/strong>Rare metals such as tungsten, tantalum, tin and gold are found in numerous everyday objects \u2013 such as micro\u00adchips, for instance. Today, those metals are known as \u201cconflict resources\u201d because they are extracted in regions where war has been raging for many years. The supplier shall ensure raw materials and especially rare materials used in its products must come from conflict-free sources. Necessary proof of conflict-free origin must be able to be presented on request.<\/li>\n
    12. Accounting:<\/strong> The supplier shall ensure that accounting and business records are kept accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with the appli\u00adcable legal and regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n
    13. Confi\u00adden\u00adtiality: <\/strong>The supplier shall ensure that, in accordance with appli\u00adcable law, it maintains the confi\u00adden\u00adtiality of trade and business secrets and strict confi\u00adden\u00adtiality with respect to all infor\u00admation it has access to. The legal basis for the protection of personal data and intellectual property of customers, employees and all other interested parties is observed.<\/li>\n
    14. Intellectual property \/ plagiarism \u2013 patents:<\/strong> The supplier guarantees strict action against the acqui\u00adsition and use of counterfeit parts, as well as consistent measures for the protection of intellectual property.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
